Story & heritage
BEAMS PLUS was launched in 1999 as BEAMS's menswear label for modern basic utility wear, rooted in American traditional, work, sports and military clothing from the mid-1940s to the mid-1960s.
BEAMS lists Day Pack 2 Compartments among BEAMS PLUS Famous Products, and its official description connects the design to early-1970s daypacks.
Materials & craft
The official page describes front and rear air-chamber compartments, a sloped bottom, an enlarged front compartment, a 15-inch laptop-capable main compartment with back cushioning, top mesh pocket, exterior bottle pockets and about 32.5 liters of capacity. The fabric is 1000-denier Taslan processed yarn with urethane coating on the reverse.
How to choose & style
Black is the easiest daily carry; orange or green gives the outfit the same outdoor-color hit that BEAMS PLUS often uses to break up navy, khaki and oxford blue.
