Je t'aime Jane Eau de Parfum
The Birkin-inspired phrase becomes Bella Freud’s most romantic scent.
Story & heritage
Bella Freud’s own Je t’aime Jane story begins with a voicemail from Jane Birkin’s agent saying Birkin loved a Gainsbourg Is God jumper. Freud responded by making a schoolgirl-style dedication: Je t’aime Jane on the front, Gainsbourg Is God on the back and Serge on the sleeve.
The Eau de Parfum keeps that narrative but turns it into fragrance, carrying the same Jane Birkin reference into the parfum line.
Materials & craft
The official product page lists jasmine night flower absolute, queen of the night flower, ylang ylang and orange blossom, with black oud, sandalwood and powder-musk in the base.
How to choose & style
Think of it as the softer sister to Ginsberg: less graphic, more intimate. It suits evening knits, white shirts, slip dresses and anything that wants a trace rather than a shout.
