Story & heritage

Cesare Attolini's founding language is the Neapolitan suit: Vincenzo Attolini created a softer silhouette in the 1930s, with a slim waist, high armholes, generous sleeve-head and minimal shoulder padding. The Via Camerelle suit turns that house vocabulary into warm-weather tailoring.

Michael Jondral describes this suit as an exclusive Attolini piece in washed Solbiati linen, woven by the mill now belonging to Loro Piana. Its rolling three-button fastening and slightly wider lapel keep the garment in the Neapolitan jacket tradition rather than a rigid business-suit mould.

Materials & craft

The product listing specifies 100% washed linen, a rolling three-button front, spalla camicia shirt shoulder, two patch pockets with a ticket pocket, double hand edge, half lining, horn buttons and trousers with side adjusters. Those details make the suit feel light, open and handmade rather than armoured.

The wider Attolini story matters here: the brand grew from Naples tailoring and is still associated with a natural body line, high armhole and comfort-first construction. On this suit, those ideas show up as ease in the shoulder and a summer cloth that softens as it is worn.

How to choose & style

Wear it as a full suit for a soft summer ceremony, or break the jacket away from the trousers with a linen shirt and suede loafers. The light-brown tone is most convincing when kept tonal: cream, tobacco, washed blue and white.

For the most Attolini reading, avoid a hard shirt collar and over-polished shoe. A knitted polo or open-collar shirt lets the suit's relaxed Neapolitan ease stay visible.
