Story & heritage
DC’s official Lynx copy calls the Lynx OG a team favourite and certified staple since the late 1990s, a shoe that helped define skate style at the turn of the decade.
The current Black/Gum page says that colourway first released in Spring 2002 and returned as one of the most iconic colourways to hit the streets, keeping the shoe in DC Reserve rather than treating it as a disposable archive item.
Materials & craft
The official product page lists durable leather lace loops, a shock-absorbing heel and high-density foam padding through the collar and tongue. The result is a visibly protective skate shoe: padded, rugged and built around impact comfort.
How to choose & style
Style Lynx OG as the archive DC shoe: loose denim, work pants and simple tees let the black/gum build feel authentic rather than costume-like.
The black/gum pair is the easiest classic; brighter reissues lean more collector and skate-history focused.
