Seven-Fold Sartorial Silk Tie
The connoisseur’s Marinella: more silk, more drape, less need to explain itself.
Story & heritage
E. Marinella was founded by Eugenio Marinella in 1914 in Naples, in a tiny shop on Piazza Vittoria. The house is best known for silk neckties: Wikipedia describes each tie as handmade and unique, and records how Marinella ties became gifts exchanged by Italian statesmen and worn by heads of state and royals.
E. Marinella positions the seven-fold tie as a fully artisanal product, tracing it from hand-printing through individual cutting and final closing.
Materials & craft
Official seven-fold product copy specifies hand-printing of silk, individual cutting of every fabric piece and closing of the finished tie.
How to choose & style
Wear the seven-fold with flannel, cashmere, hopsack or a soft double-breasted blazer; the fuller knot benefits from a spread collar.
