Story & heritage

The KonTiki name is Eterna’s great adventure story: the official brand history links it to Thor Heyerdahl’s 1947 Pacific expedition, when each crew member carried an Eterna watch and the watches returned unaffected by water, salt corrosion and temperature swings.

The Super KonTiki keeps that line at its most direct — a bold, bezel-equipped automatic diver whose current official specification uses the ETA 2824-2 movement and a 44 mm stainless-steel case.

Materials & craft

Official specifications list a stainless-steel case, rotating bezel with black aluminium ring, screw-secured case back, scratch-resistant anti-reflective sapphire crystal, matte black dial, brown leather strap, date display and a 38-hour ETA 2824-2 automatic calibre.

How to choose & style

Wear it as the archetypal Eterna tool watch: the black dial and brown strap make it less clinical than a steel-bracelet diver, while the 44 mm case wants denim, field jackets and heavier knits rather than tailoring.
