Story & heritage

The Clic H grew out of the house's enamel-bracelet tradition, which began in the mid-1970s with cuffs printed from vintage scarf designs. The version with the snapping H clasp — which gave the piece its satisfying click and its nickname, the Clic Clac — turned a coloured bangle into one of Hermès' most accessible and collectable objects.

Made in dozens of enamel colours and three metal finishes, it became the house's joyful entry point: a way to wear Hermès on the wrist for a fraction of a bag, with the H rendered not as a logo but as the mechanism that holds it on.

Materials & craft

The Clic H is built on a metal bangle inlaid with high-fired coloured enamel and finished in gold, rose-gold or palladium plating. The H-shaped clasp opens with a twist and closes with an audible click — the gesture the bracelet is named for.

It is produced in two widths: the narrow Clic H and the wider Clic Clac H, in two sizes (PM and GM), and in a rotating palette of hundreds of enamel colours.

How to choose & style

The narrow Clic H is the everyday width; the Clic Clac H makes more of a statement and stacks well. Black, white and navy enamel with gold are the most versatile; bright colours are where it gets playful — and where its low entry price invites collecting several to stack. It reads dressed-up or casual depending only on the colour you choose.
