JS Money Wings Low Sneaker
A dollar-bill print and detachable wings turn the adidas low-top into Jeremy Scott shorthand.
Story & heritage
adidas called the JS Money Wings the silhouette that started it all when the brand announced its 2021 return. The graphic goes back to Scott's early adidas work: Wikipedia notes that he first worked with adidas in 2002 on a money-print Forum project and revisited the motif again years later.
Reissuing the Money Wings in 2021 made the design feel like a manifesto for the partnership — fashion prank, streetwear object and collector sneaker all at once.
Materials & craft
adidas described the 2021 JS Money Wings Low as a low-cut sneaker printed with 100 dollar bill graphics and finished with detachable wings. The design keeps the money motif on the upper while translating Scott's wing hardware into a more everyday low-top format.
How to choose & style
The low-top version is easier to wear than the original high-cut wing sneaker: it works with denim, track pants or a simple miniskirt while still keeping the print visible. Treat it like the one irreverent piece in an otherwise straightforward look.
