The official women's shoes page says JW Anderson keeps returning to loafers in slides, moccasins and boots. The Stitch Loafer Mule is the clearest example of that house habit: it pulls a formal loafer apart until it behaves like an indoor-outdoor slip-on without losing the original code.
Materials & craft
Official product copy says the shoe is crafted in Italy from waxed suede leather with a calf leather lining, a crepe rubber sole and an embossed JWA logo. The materials do most of the work: suede softens the shape, while the crepe sole keeps the mule grounded in utility rather than eveningwear.
How to choose & style
This is a deliberately relaxed shoe. It looks strongest with cropped trousers, washed denim or full-length tailoring that lets the easy backless silhouette peek out rather than dominate.
