Story & heritage
In Kangol's own 504/507 story, the 507 was created by building on the success of the 504 and sharpening the shape while adding a touch more height at the back. The official product page for the Seamless Wool 507 describes it as the original 507 cap without the seamed side panels.
That makes this version the cleanest expression of the 507 idea: still more baseball-cap-like in fit than a 504, but visually pared down so the silhouette does the work.
Materials & craft
Kangol states that the 507's ergonomic fit melds the classic 504 with the fit of a baseball cap. In this wool version, the body is knitted and blocked seamlessly, giving the crown a smooth uninterrupted sweep from brim to back.
How to choose & style
If the 504 feels too rounded, this is the move. The 507 reads a bit cleaner with sporty outerwear and modern knits, especially in charcoal, navy, or espresso-toned colors.
