Story & heritage
A sculptural tote bag designed to support city life and carry a computer. Formed of waves, folds, and rounded edges, the bag can take on two shapes. The first is a basket, its sides open, its straps on the outside. The second is a floral, closed bag, its sides tucked in, its straps crossing on the inside. Its pair of straps allow it to be carried in the hand or worn on the shoulder. Its name was inspired by the French word “cime”, meaning a peak or mountain crest, in reference to the ridge running along it.
Polène’s house story says the brand was founded in 2016 and makes its leather goods in Ubrique, Spain, using Italian leather.
Materials & craft
The official copy frames this as a expanded cyme with a leather body, and the brand’s own history grounds the craftsmanship in Ubrique, Spain.
How to choose & style
Keep the rest of the silhouette clean so the bag’s shape can do the work.
Choose it when you want sculptural structure without moving into a more formal top-handle mood.
