Story & heritage

Rupert Sanderson launched his namesake label in 2001 after training at Cordwainers College and working in Italy. Clava belongs to the brand’s made-to-order core, where iconic shapes are kept alive over time.

The made-to-order page lists Clava among nine iconic styles, which makes it feel less like a one-off season shoe and more like a permanent part of the house vocabulary.
