Scott’s history says the company later introduced cycling shoes and helmets after its early full-suspension mountain-bike work. The Road RC Ultimate is now the top-end road shoe expression of that equipment branch.

The Road RC Ultimate uses an HMX carbon sole, Carbitex upper, BOA Li2 fit system and adjustable ErgoLogic insole. Scott lists a stiffness index of 10, three-bolt road-pedal compatibility and a 260 g approximate weight for a US 8.5 shoe.
How to choose & style
Black disappears into race kit and keeps the focus on the bike; white-and-black looks faster and photographs better. The shoe is narrow and purposeful, so it suits clean socks and close-fitting road silhouettes.
