Story & heritage
Skagen says Mellem is named after the Danish word for “between” or “among.” The collection is described as a balance between geometric forms, with a sculptural case that blends circle and square.
As a newer Icons-nav collection, Mellem broadens Skagen minimalism beyond the round ultra-slim watch into a more tactile, architectural bracelet watch.
Materials & craft
The official reference lists a 40mm stainless steel case and bracelet, silver sunray dial, mineral crystal, quartz three-hand movement and 3 ATM water resistance. A 2-pusher foldover clasp keeps the bracelet clean from the top view.
How to choose & style
Choose Mellem when you want Skagen's restraint to lead rather than shout. It works best with clean tailoring, soft knits and other pieces that leave room for the dial or pendant shape to read.
For gifting, stay close to the house codes: silver or charcoal for the most minimal read, rose-gold and gold tones when the piece needs warmth against skin.
