Story & heritage
The Ben Roper represents Stetson’s practical roper silhouette. The official description explains that rugged roper-style boots provide more support around the ankle than traditional western boots and use a shorter heel for stability.
Stetson places its boots in the same craft lineage as its headwear, and the Ben Roper is the everyday version of that promise: less show than an exotic boot, more purpose than a fashion boot.
Materials & craft
The Ben Roper has a burnished leather vamp and shaft, contrast embroidered leather crown, 10-inch shaft, wide R toe, all-leather walking heel, single welt and 3/4 welt leather sole secured with lemonwood pegs and brass nails. Stetson says each pair is handcrafted in León, Mexico and takes about 40 hours and 200 steps to complete.
How to choose & style
This is the easiest Stetson boot to wear all day. Let the shorter heel and rounder toe sit under relaxed denim; the tan leather also works with chambray, canvas and softer western shirts.
