Story & heritage

Stüssy began in the early 1980s when Shawn Stussy moved his handstyle from surfboards onto T-shirts, shorts, and caps sold around Laguna Beach. CDG & Stüssy Laguna Beach Eau de Toilette keeps that original logic close: a functional everyday item carrying a Stüssy mark or a beach-rooted idea.

The current official product page places this piece inside Stüssy's ACCESSORIES offer and describes it through practical construction rather than runway language, which fits the brand's surf, skate, and hip-hop adoption story.

Materials & craft

Official product details list: Stüssy has collaborated with Comme des Garçons Parfums on a fragrance that captures the mood, essence, and lifestyle of Laguna Beach. Natural marine freshness, moss, and atlas cedar mix with white solar flowers to create an all-new, organic, laid back vibrational force. The campaign was a collaboration with longtime Laguna Beach resident and artist Jim Olarte, an avid beachcomber. Olarte has sourced all materials found in these images over a ten-year period from the coast of California. Abstract lead fishing weights, surfboard and boat fiberglass, and hardened bull kelp straight from the source, Laguna Beach. Founded by Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo in 1969 in Tokyo, Comme des Garçons debuted internationally with a subversive, monochromatic collection at Paris Fashion Week in the 1980s. Based in Tokyo and Paris, CDG has expanded into footwear, accessories and fragrance. Restricted Hazardous Items We are not able to offer expedited shipping on orders that contain the CDG x STÜSSY scent. Alcohol-based products (i.e. perfume, cologne) are restricted from air-transport due to U.S. Department of Transportation regulations and must be shipped by ground shipping only and will take additional time to arrive. Please reference your estimated delivery date during checkout and post-purchase notifications for estimated delivery. Made in France FINAL SALE.

The result is a direct Stüssy object: logo, fit, and material are doing the work, with no extra narrative needed beyond the product's own specs.
