Story & heritage
Talise is an official classic that extends Tadashi Shoji’s draped-gown vocabulary into a portrait-collar silhouette. The side waterfall ruffle links it back to the house’s known draping techniques while the high slit gives the gown motion.
It is a useful companion to Lena: both are waterfall pieces, but Talise frames the shoulders more openly and uses the ruffle as a dramatic side line.
Materials & craft
The official page says Talise is made from crepe with a flattering V neckline, a pleated portrait collar, a fitted silhouette, a side waterfall ruffle, a high side slit, and a concealed back zip.
The construction keeps the upper body tailored while letting the ruffle and slit animate the skirt.
How to choose & style
Use Talise for events where color can lead. Metallic sandals and a bare neckline work well, especially because the collar already frames the face.
