The Nomad Boot is source-grounded as Todd Snyder’s first shoe: official copy says Todd designed it as a rugged-yet-refined boot that can work with denim or dress down a suit. Maxim also covered its debut as the designer’s first footwear release.

That makes it an icon less because it is ornate and more because it opened the brand’s footwear vocabulary: soft suede, easy proportions, and enough polish to sit with tailoring.

Materials & craft

The official page lists an Italian suede exterior, a 12-millimeter rubber sole and Italian manufacture. The shape is casual enough for denim but clean enough to pair with a suit.

How to choose & style

Tobacco is the reference color: it warms up denim, khaki and olive without becoming dressy. Use it with the Wythe suit when loafers feel too formal, or with selvedge jeans for the easiest read.
