Vanessa Bruno designed the Cabas in the late 1990s as a light, practical tote for Paris daily life; the house now describes it as the brand's iconic piece and the foundation of its Cabas world.
The L size is the everyday anchor of the family: a zippered tote sized for a laptop, A4 documents, a book and a make-up bag, with the clean sequined edge that made the line instantly recognisable.

The official canvas Cabas is made in France from sturdy cotton canvas finished with sequins, two large handles, a zip closure, an interior zipped pocket and an interior leather label.
The brand notes that its canvas was originally developed for boat sails, giving the tote a structured drape; current models list an 88% cotton main material and a cotton lining.
