Story & heritage
visvim's denim line is called Social Sculpture; the brand history describes Nakamura developing the denim from the yarn up and breaking it down and building it back up like sculpture. The official OLD VISVIM NEVER DIES list names Social Sculpture 03 and Social Sculpture 04 among long-duration pieces.
The 01 Narrow keeps that thesis wearable: a slim straight jean where fading, damage processing and hardware become the visible surface of the object.
Materials & craft
The official product page lists custom 14 oz. denim with blue selvedge detail, damage processing, slim straight high-rise fit, button fly, custom copper buttons and rivets, natural-dyed buckskin patch, hidden internal zip pocket, 100% cotton and Made in Japan.
How to choose & style
The damaged 01 is strongest with quiet footwear and oversized shirting. Choose Narrow for a cleaner line; Wide or EX Wide if you want the denim to read more like a garment than a jean.
