Story & heritage
Glacier 04 is the large member of the official Glacier family, a collection Vuarnet describes around mountaineering use, snow glare and cultural-icon status. It keeps the leather-shield setup but scales the frame up.
The larger proportion makes the model the boldest expression of the Glacier idea: protective, architectural and unmistakably alpine.
Materials & craft
The official page lists bio acetate and beta titanium, 8 mm acetate lateral visors, removable leather side shields and nose piece, adjustable temple tips, removable leather strap, “V Sur Ski” nose pads, 60 gram weight and Made in Japan construction.
How to choose & style
Use Glacier 04 when you want coverage and statement in equal measure. It works especially well with broader faces, high collars and outerwear that can visually balance the large frame.
