Story & heritage
Agent Provocateur calls Lorna a bestseller, and Vogue has described the Lorna bra as part of the house’s carryover Forever range. The modern Lorna debuted for spring/summer 2011 after an archival AP design from the brand’s 1994 beginnings, then became the recognisable sweet-but-sharp counterpoint to the label’s more theatrical corsetry.
The current sand plunge version keeps the Lorna language deliberately clear: scalloped edges, satin bows, rosebud details and a soft net-tulle base. It is the Agent Provocateur line most easily styled beyond lingerie, which is why it keeps returning under tailoring and sheer layers.
Materials & craft
The official product page lists a polyamide shell with mesh applique and cotton gusset lining on the coordinated pieces. Its construction is about lightness rather than armour: sheer cups, scalloped edging and fine straps frame the body without losing the familiar Lorna outline.
How to choose & style
Choose Lorna when the outfit needs softness rather than drama. Sand disappears under pale shirting; black reads sharper under a blazer. The plunge shape works best when a visible edge is intentional, not accidental.
