Story & heritage
The ALD / New Balance 1300 extends the partnership into another archival runner. Where the 990v4 reads like daily infrastructure, the 1300 feels more explicitly vintage: hairy suede, mesh and a leather-backed N logo.
It belongs in the icon set because New Balance collaborations are one of the few ALD product families named in the brand’s public history, and the 1300 keeps that family in current circulation.
Materials & craft
The official page specifies hairy suede overlays, mesh underlays, an ENCAP midsole, rubber outsole, leather-backed N logo, custom co-branded tongue tag and sockliner, and Made in USA construction.
How to choose & style
Use the 1300 with cream socks and straight denim for the most classic read. Navy makes it easier with chinos and oxford shirts than brighter sneaker colourways.
