Story & heritage

The official Antonio Marras US store places the Caragol Bag inside its Iconics edit, alongside the house's recurring parkas, Robespierre shirts, kimonos, Gavoi outerwear and LolLove sneakers. Its product copy defines the line by a compact, organic shape, soft lines, and a balance between volume and lightness.

For a designer whose ready-to-wear began in 1999 after founding the brand in 1987, the Caragol brings the same Sardinian, craft-forward language into handbags: expressive, tactile, and recognisable without relying on oversized hardware.

Materials & craft

Antonio Marras describes the Caragol as full-grain nappa leather, entirely Made in Italy, with a metal zip top closure and Antonio Marras logo applied on the front. Embroidered editions add floral sequin or lace decoration over the same compact leather body.

How to choose & style

Choose the plain nappa Caragol when the outfit already has Marras-level texture; the embroidered versions work as the focal point with black tailoring, denim, or a quiet slip dress. The small rounded form suits hand carry best, but still reads relaxed rather than precious.
