ICONIC UMBRELLA
Rainwear heritage made literal: Aquascutum check above you, not just inside a coat.
Story & heritage
Aquascutum's weatherproof identity starts with John Emary, who founded the Regent Street menswear house in 1851 and patented a waterproof wool in 1853; the name itself means watershield. The house's coats served officers in the Crimean War and soldiers in both world wars, making rainwear and outerwear the most credible heart of the brand.
The umbrella sits naturally inside Aquascutum's icon set because the brand's central promise has always been protection from weather. The official Club Check selection presents Iconic Umbrella styles beside the checked coats, shirts and caps.
Materials & craft
The current official listing supplies the Club Check product images, one-size status and Iconic Umbrella name; the imagery shows a full-length umbrella with checked canopy and curved handle. No extra material claim is added beyond what the product page and images support.
How to choose & style
It is most convincing with the beige mac or a navy coat, where the check looks like a continuation of the lining. The Club Check version is the collector's choice; beige and macro-check versions read softer.
