Story & heritage
The Z/2 is the toe-loop sibling of Chaco’s Classic line. Chaco’s product page describes the Classic sandals as a more-than-30-year outdoor staple built from simple, durable parts that adjust to the foot.
Its place in the canon is functional: it keeps the original pull-through Z/Sandal language while adding a toe loop for a more locked-in feel.
Materials & craft
Official specs keep the Classic formula direct: polyester jacquard webbing, adjustable heel risers, an injection-molded buckle, LUVSEAT support, and non-marking ChacoGrip rubber.
How to choose & style
Pick Z/2 when the day involves water crossings, uneven ground, or a pack; the toe loop reads more technical than the cleaner Z/1.
For travel, keep the strap color grounded and let the silhouette do the work with quick-dry shorts or cropped utility pants.
