Story & heritage

Chopard’s L.U.C universe says Chopard Manufacture has reflected Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s vision since 1996, when the first in-house calibre paid tribute to founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard. The L.U.C line became the maison’s language for high watchmaking.

The official L.U.C 1860 product page presents the current model as a 36.5 mm automatic watch in Lucent Steel™, reinforcing the collection’s understated, movement-led appeal.

Materials & craft

Official L.U.C copy cites in-house crafting, COSC chronometer certification and the Poinçon de Genève. It also names traditional finishing techniques such as Côtes de Genève, beveling, circular graining, satin brushing, sunray patterning and Fleurisanne engraving.

How to choose & style

This is the quiet connoisseur’s Chopard: slim enough for tailoring, detailed enough for collectors, and strongest when worn without stacking too many competing accessories.
