Story & heritage
The Short Lined Cruiser translates Filson’s cruiser logic into a hip-length, easier-seated waxed jacket. Filson describes it as built with Tin Cloth, the signature waxed cotton that has protected against weather, brambles, and abrasion for a century.
It is the everyday gateway to the brand’s workwear side: shorter than the full Cruiser, easier with denim and boots, but still carrying the same field-pocket vocabulary.
Materials & craft
The shell is 14-oz. canvas duck with an oil-finish wax treatment for foul-weather resistance. Filson notes a cotton-canvas body lining, smooth polyester sleeve lining, metal-shank buttons, and pockets designed for field utility.
The point is patina: the waxed surface marks, creases, and softens with wear rather than trying to stay pristine.
How to choose & style
Dark Tan is the canonical workwear color; Black makes the silhouette more urban. Size it over a heavy shirt if it will be a true outer layer, or closer if it is the jacket you wear from truck to counter.
