When it started, most golfers wore dark, ill-fitting rain suits that turned heavy in a downpour and lived forgotten in the bag. By 1995 Galvin Green had launched a full range of brightly colored waterproofs with detailing the sport had never seen — half-zip rain jackets, adjustable chest tabs, cuffs with rain channels, stretch fabric in multiple colors. Today it is among the world's leading golf apparel brands and dominates the rainwear sector in the UK and Ireland, having entered the US market in 2013.
A licensee of Ryder Cup Europe, Galvin Green was chosen for an Exclusive Collection at the 40th Ryder Cup at Gleneagles in 2014, using Gore-Tex and Windstopper fabrics.
