Gentle Monster is a South Korean luxury eyewear brand founded in 2011, as famous for its art-installation retail spaces as for its frames.

Founded by serial entrepreneur Jae Wook Oh, the brand began producing frames in Daegu and China, favouring oversized shapes designed for its Asian clientele. Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun wearing the frames on My Love From the Star in 2013–14 pushed it into the mainstream, and its first US store opened in SoHo in 2016. Stores double as sculpture-filled environments under the HAUS retail concept.

Gentle Monster sits under parent company IICOMBINED, alongside Tamburins, NUDAKE and others. LVMH took a 7% stake in 2017, and the brand has run high-profile collaborations with Tilda Swinton, Maison Margiela, Jennie of Blackpink and more. As of 2026 it operates 84 stores worldwide.
