Story & heritage
The Aerohead Mips II Helmet is Giro’s current time-trial statement. Official copy says it is Giro’s most aerodynamic time-trial helmet ever, designed with CFD and VR and proven in the wind tunnel with Team Visma riders.
Its name reaches back to the brand’s own 1989 Aerohead milestone, when Giro says aerodynamic equipment helped change the Tour de France by eight seconds.
Materials & craft
Giro lists Mips Air Node, a two-piece hardbody shell, Roc Loc 5 Air fit, and a magnetically attached oversized eye shield. Each Aerohead II comes with clear and Vivid Smoke eye shields and a padded carrying pod.
How to choose & style
Choose this piece by the ride first: fast road, trail, snow or gravity use changes the right shell, lens or sole more than colour does.
For styling, Giro works best as technical punctuation: matte blacks stay minimal, while white, sage, blue or high-visibility finishes make the equipment a visible part of the kit.
