Story & heritage
Little America Backpack is Herschel’s clearest modern icon: the official product page calls it the brand’s signature backpack and describes its mountain style as iconic.
That language fits the broader Herschel story: a Vancouver-based company, founded in 2009 by Lyndon and Jamie Cormack, built around nostalgic backpacks, duffles and accessories.
Materials & craft
The current official build uses 100% recycled 600D polyester excluding trims, a recycled tonal stripe liner, EVA-padded shoulder straps and magnet-fastened straps with metal pin buckles.
Its organization is practical rather than technical-looking: a fleece-lined floating laptop sleeve, side-entry zipper, top-lid pocket, zip front pocket and expandable dual bottle pockets.
How to choose & style
Use Little America when the bag should be visible: the flap, straps and tall silhouette read more heritage-outdoor than office pack.
Black and Navy keep it campus-clean; Raven Crosshatch, Moonbeam and diamond-pattern colors make the mountain reference more graphic.
