Story & heritage
The Comfort Core Bottom is the quiet infrastructure of Jantzen's separates business: it shows up in bottoms merchandising, solid-colour edits, and multiple shop-the-look pairings. It is not the loudest item in the assortment, but it is one of the clearest examples of how the brand expects women to build mix-and-match swim wardrobes.
That logic goes back to the brand's historical move into separates and to the 1970s and 1980s focus on stretch fabrics that hold shape. Comfort Core is a current, stripped-back version of that promise.
Materials & craft
Jantzen describes a mid-waist fit, built-in tummy control, classic coverage, stay-in-place construction, UPF 50 protection, and an 84% polyamide / 16% elastane stretch fabric. The shaping here is intentionally subtle: enough structure to smooth, not so much that the bottom feels engineered to the point of rigidity.
How to choose & style
This is the bottom to reach for when you want a dependable, slightly higher line under wrap tops and tankinis. It is especially useful in solid colours because it can disappear into almost any print story without making the set feel mismatched.
