Story & heritage
Where the plain Meister Automatic keeps things spare, the Meister Chronoscope shows how Junghans translates the same mid-century dress language into a full chronograph. Junghans says the watch combines classic charm with sporty functions, and points to the bowl-shaped subdial dimples as a signature Meister cue.
That mix of polish and utility is why the Chronoscope has become one of the best-known modern Junghans complications. It sits squarely inside the historical Meister lineage while giving the brand a more technical, slightly more extrovert face.
Materials & craft
Junghans equips the watch with the self-winding J880.1, rated for 48 hours of power reserve without chronoscope use. Official specifications also call out a 40.7 mm polished stainless-steel case, anti-reflective sapphire crystal, mineral crystal display back, domed matt dark-grey dial, weekday and date display, and the 30-minute and 12-hour counters that define the model's layout.
How to choose & style
If you want a Junghans with more presence than a three-hander, this is the move. The dark dial and yellow counter accents add contrast without turning flashy, and the bracelet version wears especially well with navy tailoring, charcoal knits, or monochrome outerwear.
