Story & heritage
JW Anderson's own bags edit names the Twister as one of the house's iconic live families. The Mytheresa product copy distills why it stuck: the Twister is defined by its twisted top handle, which turns a familiar flap bag into something slightly uncanny and immediately identifiable.
Materials & craft
The current black medium version is made in smooth nappa leather and built around a twisted bow short handle. Official product copy also notes a removable antique gold-finish crossbody chain, magnetic flap closure and logo embossing, so the hardware and handle do nearly all of the structural work.
How to choose & style
The Twister works when you let the handle remain visible — tucked under the arm or held by hand rather than buried beneath heavy outerwear. Black keeps it closest to an evening shoulder bag; brighter fabric versions push the same shape into a more playful register.
