Story & heritage
K-Swiss says the SI-18 Premier was first introduced in 1989 and presents it as an icon of the brand's athletic heritage. That date gives the line a clear place in the company's history: later than the original Classic, but still rooted in the period when K-Swiss was defining its premium tennis identity.
The current SI-18 International keeps that late-1980s court language intact, especially through the ski-boot-influenced D-R Cinch lacing system that the brand calls out as one of its timeless signatures.
Materials & craft
The SI-18 International uses a soft leather upper over a full-length EVA midsole, with textile collar lining, rubber outsole, and a molded PU sock liner. K-Swiss positions the current version as a comfort-minded reengineering of the original rather than a radical redesign.
How to choose & style
The white, blue, and red make this one feel unabashedly archival, so it looks strongest when you let it be the loudest sporty note in the outfit. Keep the rest simple—navy trousers, grey sweats, or a plain knit—and let the quarter-panel graphics carry the nostalgia.
