Story & heritage
The cashmere baseball cap is the piece that best captures Loro Piana's leisure-luxury proposition — an everyday, casual shape executed in the house's most precious fibre and weatherproofed with its proprietary technology. It is the accessory that quietly signals the brand across off-duty wardrobes.
It sits within the maison's Storm System® world: a treatment that makes luxury cloth genuinely functional, the same instinct that produced weatherproof Horsey jackets and bombers. A cashmere cap you can wear in the rain is a very Loro Piana idea.
Materials & craft
The cap is made in Italy from cashmere (baby-cashmere versions exist), treated with Loro Piana's Storm System® membrane to keep water and wind off while preserving the fibre's softness. It carries the house crest and signature embroidered tonally on the front, an elasticated rear tab for fit, and a flannel or cashmere-wool lining. The combination of a sporty shape and a heritage fibre is the whole point.
How to choose & style
The cashmere cap is the easy entry into the brand — it dresses down a coat and adds a soft, tactile finish to casual dressing. Black, navy and the natural melanges are the most versatile and the most discreet; the camel and claret tones add warmth. Worn with the Summer Walk and a crewneck it completes the off-duty Loro Piana look.
