Story & heritage
Piccolo was created by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi in 1953, and the Jokapoika shirt followed three years later. Astrilli turns that stripe into a crisp bandana shape.
Materials & craft
Marimekko describes the bandana as organic cotton featuring the Piccolo pattern printed in Helsinki. It is a compact accessory rather than a full scarf, so it reads more graphic than drapey.

How to choose & style
Tie it around the neck, through a bag handle, or at the wrist for a quick hit of stripe against solids.
