Story & heritage
Founded in Boston in 1845, Mark Cross began as a bridle, harness, and saddle maker before evolving into a leather-goods house. The brand says its current collections are inspired by the archives and made in Italian ateliers.
The Jane is pulled directly from the Mark Cross archives and stays close to its original form, with a small update to the clasp for contemporary use.
Materials & craft
Soft black vachetta leather, tonal stitching, a lambskin-suede lining, a collar-stud strap extension, and a brushed brass hexagon clasp define the build.
How to choose & style
Let the bag age naturally and keep the rest of the look understated; it works especially well with sharp jackets and easy weekend wear.
