Self Edge frames the 2M15 as the vintage jersey knitting machine version of the iconic 215, made in Merz b. Schwanen’s own factory in Germany. It keeps the same plainspoken T-shirt idea but trades a touch of density for a more modern, easier wear.
The result is a mid-century jersey tee with side seams and a slightly lighter feel — a practical continuation of the brand’s loopwheeled vocabulary.
Materials & craft
The 2M15 is made from 100% organic cotton and produced on vintage 1960s jersey knitting machines. Self Edge notes the 225gr / 6.8oz fabric weight, side seams, a crew neck, triangle inserts under the arms, and fully German production.
How to choose & style
Choose this when you want the 215 idea with a little less density. It works best under overshirts or with straight trousers because the lighter body softens the silhouette without losing the brand’s compact shape language.
