Story & heritage
The lofoten line dates to 2004, when Norrøna introduced what it calls the first true freeride collection. This jacket is the line's defining shell: the product that made the brand's ski story visible far beyond Norway.
The collection page frames lofoten as the original waterproof, durable freeride system, and the jacket still reads as a hard-use ski piece that also works for trekking and mountaineering.
Materials & craft
The page calls out 70Dx160D GORE-TEX PRO with the newer ePE membrane, recycled textiles, and PFAS-free protection. The fit is technical and articulated, with ventilation, a helmet-ready hood, and a zip-off powder skirt.
How to choose & style
Choose your usual size for a trim, technical fit; size up if you want room for thicker midlayers or a more relaxed silhouette.
