Prps jeans are manufactured in Japan from Japanese and Zimbabwean cotton, woven on 1960s-era looms similar to those once used for Levi's. Harrell drew on denim worn by workers before it became everyday fashion, marked by signature details like a folded back pocket, a purple tab, and purple-line selvage.
The label spans three tiers — Prps Noir, Prps and Prps Goods & Co. — the latter created to reach a larger audience; many goods still use quality materials and authentic distressing, with leather jackets made in Italy. A women's range launched in the US in 2008.
