Captain Cook has always been Rado's most romantic dive-watch family, but this chronograph pushes it toward the racetrack without abandoning the original mood. The result is still unmistakably Captain Cook, only busier and more technical.
It is the kind of model that shows how Rado can graft modern instrument logic onto a watch with genuine 1960s roots.
Materials & craft
The 43 mm case is brushed bronze, the bezel carries a blue high-tech ceramic insert, and the watch is topped by a box-shaped scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Inside is the thinner R801 automatic chronograph movement with a 59-hour reserve and Nivachron hairspring, delivered with three straps.
How to choose & style
This is the dressiest Captain Cook to pair with tailoring: think navy, charcoal, and deep blue. The bronze-and-blue palette reads polished rather than sporty, even at 43 mm.
