Story & heritage
The Portland Spinnaker is a more graphic member of the Portland family. Sebago’s U.S. product copy says the “Spinnaker” mocs take their name from a symmetric sail, while still paying homage to Portland in New England and its yachting club.
Because the upper keeps the same low boat-shoe architecture, the colour blocking reads as a sailing signal rather than a separate silhouette.
Materials & craft
Constructed to be the perfect nautical footwear, these long-lasting boat shoes are made of full grain leather in three different colors and hand-sewn with the finest craftsmanship: they come with leather sock lining, 360 rawhide lace system and non-marking antislip siped rubber soles to offer stable grip in all weather conditions. Homage to the city of "Portland" in New England and its world famous Yachting Club, the "Spinnaker" mocs take their name from a specific type of symmetric sail.
How to choose & style
Wear it as a Sebago anchor piece: cropped chinos, denim, utility shirting, polos, linen, and soft tailoring all suit the New England shoe language. Choose the darker leathers for the cleanest city read and the lighter suedes or tricolour versions when the outfit can carry more leisure and sailing character.
