Story & heritage
Sebago’s official Campsides collection copy says the line was born in 1981 and includes Ranger Raw, a robust reinterpretation of the iconic boat shoe. Wikipedia also notes that Sebago introduced Campsides in 1981.
Ranger Waxy carries that idea into a colder-season moc: a boat-shoe vamp and upper set over a thick commando sole for terrain, weather, and a more outdoors-facing silhouette.

Created to welcome the colder season, these sturdy mocs were born combining the classy comfort of an iconic boat shoe vamp and upper with the endurance of a thick honey gum commando sole that grants weather-resistance and improves stability and traction. Hand-sewn by the finest craftsmen with hot stuff buffed leather especially conditioned with a rich combination of oils and waxes to provide a natural polish quality, they feature leather sock lining and a 360 rawhide lace system. Their name, "Ranger", well reflects their innate love for the wilderness and the great diversity of terrains, habitats of landscapes...

Wear it as a Sebago anchor piece: cropped chinos, denim, utility shirting, polos, linen, and soft tailoring all suit the New England shoe language.
