Story & heritage
The LZR Pure Valor is Speedo’s flexible counterpoint to Pure Intent inside the LZR PURE family. Wikipedia describes Pure Valor as the LZR Elite 2 successor, while Speedo positions the 2.0 update as a swimmer-developed evolution.
For many competitive swimmers, Valor is the LZR name that balances race-day compression with a little more freedom through the hips and legs.
Materials & craft
Speedo lists lightweight material, moderate compression, a compressive inner-leg seam, flat bonded seams, Fastskin engineered leg and waistband finishes and classic LZR construction. The result is a cleaner, less taped profile than Pure Intent, but still a technical race suit.
How to choose & style
Valor reads fast without looking overbuilt. Navy/Purple is the modern team-deck option; black is the conservative race staple. Choose it when comfort across several events matters as much as maximum compression.
