Story & heritage
Reworked jeans are central to early Vetements mythology: reports around the Style.com archive reissue described the first collection’s recognizable jeans alongside hoodies and sock boots, while editorial coverage of the Manolo Blahnik collaboration pointed back to reworked vintage jeans as one of the pieces that propelled the brand.
The current Back-To-Front Jeans turn that archive instinct into a live product: denim that can be read front-to-back, with familiar five-pocket cues moved where the eye does not expect them.
Materials & craft
The SSENSE men’s listing describes non-stretch denim jeans that can be worn front-to-back, with fading, whiskering, distressing, belt loops, five-pocket styling, a mock fly at front, a zip fly at back, a leather logo patch, and tan contrast stitching. The listed body is 100% cotton and made in Italy.
How to choose & style
Keep the rest plain so the waist construction lands. A tucked tee or cropped jacket makes the reversed pocket geometry visible; a long hoodie turns it into a quieter denim silhouette.
