Story & heritage
Aigle began in 1853 with Hiram Hutchinson applying Goodyear's vulcanisation process to Wellington boots and raincoats in France. The Parcours family is the modern expression of that origin: a tall rubber boot designed for people who walk and work outdoors rather than a purely decorative rain boot.
The official Parcours 2 Vario page presents it as an anti-fatigue boot for professionals and people who work on the land. Its adjustable shape keeps the foot and calf held securely while preserving the practical Wellington vocabulary Aigle has owned since the nineteenth century.
Materials & craft
Aigle specifies a mainly natural-rubber upper, rubber outsole, quick-drying polyester lining, and a three-density sole with cushioning pad. The outsole is lugged and self-cleaning for grip and traction, with an adjustable upper to accommodate the calf.
How to choose & style
Choose Parcours 2 Vario when the boot has to do real outdoor work: garden, field, dog walk, wet commute. Black is the cleanest urban read; earth tones feel more country. Its height pairs best with straight denim, utility trousers, or waxed outerwear.
