The Lone Peak 9 carries the trail identity most closely associated with Altra: a foot-shaped, zero-drop shoe made for running and hiking on uneven ground. Altra’s official Lone Peak family page describes the line as the flagship family of its trail running shoes, made for trail racing, hiking, mountaineering and long-distance running.
That story connects directly to the brand’s origin. Altra began in 2009 after Golden Harper modified conventional running shoes into a Zero Drop platform; the current Lone Peak keeps that same equal heel-and-forefoot idea while adding a modern trail upper and outsole.
Materials & craft
