Story & heritage
The Outline is Bally's sportier modern icon: a running-inspired sneaker shaped around panels and stitching that subtly recall the Bally Ribbon. It lets the house's red-white stripe language become construction rather than just decoration.
Placed next to Scribe and Curling, the Outline shows the breadth of Bally's shoe identity: formal, alpine, and athletic, all tied back to the same Swiss shoemaking base.
Materials & craft
Bally's product notes identify the upper as brown nubuck leather and call out a lightweight thick Vibram rubber sole with Bally grips on the outsole. The technical sole is the reason the shoe reads as a runner rather than a simple court sneaker.
How to choose & style
Treat the Outline like a textured neutral. The brown nubuck warms up denim and navy tailoring, while the white sole keeps it from feeling like a hiking shoe. It works especially well under relaxed trousers with a little break.
